An extra is someone that has a non-speaking part in a Film or a TV program. Practically anyone can become an extra. You will firstly need to sign up with an agency. Once you're on the books then all you have to do is wait. Agencies will charge you to get professional photos taken. These photos will be added to your agency's portfolio. You can expect to earn about £65 for a 9 hour day. Be aware that for some jobs you may not get paid until four to six weeks later.
