According to the report given by Chicago Tribune, a renowned newspaper of the United States, the usage of tribesman in order to defeat the Uzbek militants could actually contribute towards further strengthening the Taliban militants and increasing their power and influence in the the seven tribal areas in the North West Frontier Province of Pakistan.
The report further stated that western diplomats in Islamabad are concerned over the fact that the Pakistan government has handed over too much control of the tribal areas to the militants who are actually controlling the entire area while the Pakistan army has gone into the background. Furthermore the report enunciated the standpoint of the western diplomats, saying that this unanimous autonomy has provided the militants with a perfect opportunity to launch their usual cross-border attacks. However according to Chicago Tribune, the Pakistani president Musharraf is already frustrated as he has lost about 700 troops who were fighting against these tribal militants.
