Good sleep is beneficial to human body and plays an important role in optimum functioning of body functions. Lack of proper sleep results in bad skin, tiredness, affects digestive system, disrupts physiological functions, fatigue etc. A research conducted on the individuals showed that people who had on average slept lesser in their lives, they died earlier than the other individuals who had proper sleep patterns in their lives. Proper sleep is necessary because it regenerates certain parts of body especially brain. Excessive awakening and over work result in malfunctioning of neurons which affect the other body functions as well. Certain stages of sleep are necessary for the regeneration of neurons which help the brain to function to its full capacity. Taking good sleep enhances memory and immune system. Lack of sleep over the longer years results in weakening of immune system and in extreme cases results in death.
