Whether you are trying to help a friend who you think is depressed or you are struggling to fight depression, you need to know that, you need determination and a lot of self introspection can help you combat depression. Taking action is very important, you have to know what to do about the things you are depressed about and you have to do it. Spend some time thinking and taking notes of what is it that makes you feel the way you are feeling and how can you face it. You should not be afraid or embarrassed to take medical help. Talking to a psychiatrist and taking appropriate medication will only help you delve into issues further resulting in solving them.

right now, get out in the sun for 30 minutes at least. Get out of that house or bed! get out and see a funny movie and laugh you but off. Talk to friends face to face if possible. The more different faces you see will help you climb out of that hole. You are getting advice from major bipolar and I know what helps between 'sessions'.
