Indirectly they are. Since most electronics are computer based, from radios to tv's to PC's, etc...
Anyway, haven't there been more CO2 emissions since they became popular (Cell phones, Smart Phones, you name it)...
So indirectly they are destroying the world. As for computers programmed to destroy the world, it's us creating our own destruction.
