How Do I Get Information On The Scarlet Letter?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

I think there have been a few answers on The Scarlet Letter on Blurtit already - saw one the other day, anyway - so it's probably worth looking it up on this site first.

For more detailed information, most large bookshops have a section for literature study guides and they don't usually cost much. I'm a fan of York Notes myself, but they're all fairly informative. From the Internet you can find sample essays, plot summaries and so on if you just type in the appropriate key words. The best thing I have found on the Internet so far is Sparknotes - they have a plot summary, detailed analysis and lots of background information. Click here to see what you think.

Final hint - don't forget the introduction to your own copy! People often neglect these. My Penguin edition of SL, for instance, has a brilliant introduction.
