My African Grey Is Plucking His Baby Feathers, Why?

I was told that if they pluck their feathers it means they're depressed. He's a very active bird. He eat, play, etc. Recently we found a lot of tiny baby feather at the bottom of his cage. Why does he pull it out? Is this a bad sign?

He is molting, over time you will notice new feathers growing in place of the ones he has plucked out, they are probably irritating him so he wants them out, it is best to let him do this he knows what he is doing

It does so because of mental stress. This stress can be because of lack of attention. They do so to attain attention.Whenever they are alone.Or totally change of their location. It may be migration to a quieter or either rushy environment. Moreover, they can also do so when their is lack of moisture in the environment.Mainly it is due to any thing which is happening and feeling them unpleasant.

Remove the baby at once. Instead of mutilating itself it does it to its baby. Try offering the him more attention.
