New Owners Are Raising Rent $25 Each Month And Have Asked Some Tenants To Move Out By Tomorrow. Is This Legal?
I am behind on my rent due to repairs I have had to pay for myself to the apartment. Also, they are handing out new flat panel TVs to new tenants rather than making repairs.

Well, it depends on where you live but they are rather close. It also depends on either or not you have a written contract. If you do have a contract and it is not expired then first look through it carefully and read all the fine print. I say written because it holds up better in court.
But here, If there is a written contract that is still in effect then the landlord can't change the price or evict anyone until the contract is up unless the tenant doesn't follow contract rules. And if there is no contract then they are allowed to up the rent but have to give the tenant one or two weeks to move out and sometimes it's more than that.
But like I said, it really all depends on where you live. You can always go to town hall or the court house/government building and ask.

I agree with the above answers as this is not the norm rent hikes are usually per year, and a reason given for the increase but not knowing your state nor what is in your lease it would be hard to offer any solid advice. Good Luck
