There aren't any specific qualifications, though a foreign language or two can be useful - it's more about personality and attitude. If you go to flightattendantcareer.com you can get an idea of how to prepare for an interview and the kind of work you would be doing.
I had a look at the Air Jamaica website and they have no vacancies at the moment, but you could contact them to ask about working in this field in Jamaica.
