I know couple of different ways by which you can get rid of stains. I have found a Spot Remover known as Folex instant spot remover. It literally erases the stain like magic. It works on a number of different things.
I had dropped some fake blood during Halloween on the white carpet and it took it out leaving behind a faint mark, for which I used my carpet shampooer and got rid of the entire stain. It says you can use it for everything from ink to rust and you can use it on the walls as well. You can also try hydrogen peroxide which gets rid of stains very quickly.
