How Are Car Registrations Worked Out?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

Car registration can be an unusually long and tedious procedure. You might have to go in and out of the DMV office before you get your newly purchased car registered. In the United Kingdom, car registration is done at the DVLA which is the Driving and Vehicle Licensing Agency. Registering your car provides the means of identification of your vehicle on the road.

For the issuing authority, it is the means of keeping a check on the number of individual vehicles that are on the road. You will be given a form at the DVLA office. You have to fill the form and attach certain other documents with it. With the filled form, you have to submit a proof of the purchase like a bill of sale, a copy of car insurance papers, a proof of identification and a residential proof with your complete present address.
