Group Policy is the feature of Microsoft and its Windows NT. It is all about networking. It provides different type of support and solves the problems of roamers who are on the internet and using networking of featured Windows NT.

Group policies are used in the Microsoft Active Directory environment to control settings distributed to computers when they connect to the network.  An example of these settings is "enable guest account".  If this is set to "Yes" on some branch of your Active Directory tree then all computers in that part of the tree will change their settings to match.  Group policy settings have nothing to do with internet roaming.
