Hey no need to send pictures, you can find out yourself . Go to: www.discoverlife.org and search by entering the details you remember about it.
I have also tried searching according to your description and have found out that it is most probably either of the Peninsula Ribbon Snake (Thamnophis Sauritus) and the Texas Garter Snake( Thamnophis Sirtalis). You can also get more details about any snake from the above website such as eating habits, breeding etc.
