Is It Proper To Give A Wedding Shower Gift In A Store Logo Gift Wrap Bag?

Are you the gift giver or the one who received the gift?  If you received the gift the proper thing for you to do is simply to say, "Thank you for the nice "whatever".  It would not be proper to comment on the wrapping.  It does not show that a lot of effort was put into the gift but still, the gift was purchased and presented to you.  You have no idea what the circumstances might have been regrading the wrapping.  All the gift giver could afford might have been spent on the gift itself and no cash was left to buy paper, ribbon or a bag.  Wouldn't you rather have a nice gift than a piece of paper that was going to be thrown away?  Be gracious and accept the gift with gratitude.  On the other hand, if you are the gift giver:  If you possibly can, wrap the gift or put it in a pretty gift bag.  It indicates a desire to make the gift a bit more impressive and personal.  It shows you wanted to go the extra mile to make the recipient happy.  It is always nice to put your best foot forward (or in this instance) your best gift wrapping forward.
