    Glue is a gelatinous substance that binds two materials together. Although natural adhesive is less expensive to make most important glues are synthetic. Made from different materials they are versatile and give good performance. Synthetics can be produced in constant amounts and at constantly uniform properties; they can also be modified to give best results.

    One type of glue contains epoxy and resorcinol, a crystalline phenol that can be synthesized from resin.

    Super glue made from Cyanoacrylate, which is an acrylic resin and instantly bonds objects. This is very strong glue and a single drop can permanently join the forefinger and thumb if care is not taken. Whether at home or office, small amount is enough to repair any broken thing. In the industry it is used in varied field very effectively.

    Some glue is made from Polyvinylacetate or PVC. It is a rubbery, synthetic polymer and is commonly used to join wood, paper, cloth, etc.
