Your family is much more important, then friends. I am not saying that you will neglect your friends but family comes first more than anything. Family is a 100% importance and friends are 80% importance. Friends come and go. Family is your blood and will never leave you. Even you and your brothers and sisters fight when you were kids, many years from now he or she will still help you even if its financially (as long as he/she has money). "a brothers love is a brothers love" taken from movie gone in 60 seconds.

I would sum it up by saying, " friends will come and go, but your family will always be there " . A family member is more atuned to help when down where as a " friend ' will kick you while there.
