Yes you can. Menstruation is a pain in the rear but not an obstacle.

NO NO The degenerating endometrium (lining of the uterus that sloughs off with a period) can confuse a pathologist because as the cells degenerate they can appear to be abnormal or even cancerous. My pathologist preferred middle cycle to get cervical biopsy specimens.
