Should I Get A Tattoo?
I've decided recently that I really want some tattoos. But, the people I've talked to say that it's dangerous and can damage my skin.

If its what you really want then go for it.
But you have to consider that tattoo's are forever and what you
may like now you aren't guaranteed to like when your older. Tattoo's also loose its luster after a while the older you and your skin grow the more indistiguished the tattoo begin's to look. Also if you get a tattoo you have to get something that you can always look at positively as you grow. For example you might think stars are the best thing since sliced bread but when your 60 you might look at that star on your arm and say what the heck was i thinking. All in all make sure its what you really want consider all possibilities and make sure its something you can always admire.
Hope this helps ^_^

Yeah it can be damaging to the skin if the tattoo artist doesn't know what they are doing they can really do some damage. Quality work is expensive so keep that in mind. Think about it for a while and be sure before you get it done, my friend wanted tattoo's for a while and the first chance she got she went out and got one and it looks cheap and she hates it. Here is a care sheet www.luckyfish.com for when you decide.

Im going to tell you the same thing I tell everyone, If you have to ask yourself "Do I really want this?" more than 3 times it's probably not for you.
If you do decide to get one, get one that has meaning don't just go and pick a random one out of a portfolio.
Make sure you go somewhere reputable. Somewhere where when you walk in you don't want to take a can of lysol to the floors.
Talk to your artist ahead of time. Help design it. Make sure that when you look at it your going to want to continue to look at it.
This is your art.

Hi, I (personally) am against tattoos. But I understand what ppl are thinking when they want one. If you're not sure if you want one or not, get some Henna Ink. It lasts about a month and isnt permanent. Just remember, down the road you might regret it. Think of the song "I know I was feeling, but what the h*** was I thinking?" And, if you do get one, do it right, so you end up liking it, cause if you don't- you're screwed!

They can ruin your skin but the one thing you got to remember is its a life time decision its not like getting a piercing that you can take out if it looks bad you can have it lasered off but it still stays there as a faded version of the tattoo and hurts a lot more getting the tattoo taken off then getting it put on but the damage to the skin from the tattoo depends on the experience of the artist and a lot the way you look after it if you pick at the scabs you will scar it
