If you are travelling to a warmer climate for a week or two, your skin will need to be taken care of in a slightly different way than at home.
Due to the increased exposure to harmful UV rays, you will essentially need to use lots of sun protection. Invest in some quality factor lotion, the higher the better. Of course if you want to get a golden glow, you won't want to slather on factor 60 every day but try to think about the effect of the sun on your skin. Not only does burning and tanning age you skin, it can also cause skin cancer which can be fatal if undetected. With a factor 40 you can still be protected AND get a nice tan in the process.
Remember that your face is particularly sensitive in hot weather and shows more ageing than anywhere else on your body. Buy some moisturiser with built in high factor to help keep your wrinkles at bay.
After a day out in the sun your skin will be drier and maybe even burnt if you didn't protect it properly. Treat your skin to a cooling aftersun that smells delicious and replenishes the moisture back. Alternatively use an all over body moisturiser of your favourite brand which will have the same effect.
For cleansing, you'll want an easy solution that doesn't involve 5 different bottles and potions (suitcase space is for bikini's, right?). Handy face wipes are ideal, although choose ones suited to your skin type. They are great for shifting waterproof mascara and providing a cooling effect after a day in the heat. If you have sensitive skin however, wipes may not be ideal - buy a fruity facial wash to refresh your face instead.
If you want to keep your skin nice and soft, take an exfoliating body scrub. This will slough off dead cells and dry skin (although DO NOT USE on blistered, burnt patches - ouch!) and leave your skin silky smooth and soft.
The most important thing to remember when on holiday is that your skin won't forgive you if you don't treat it well. Forget to apply suncream and skip the moisturiser, and you're bound to come home looking like a taught red tomato!!!

A great treatment to take on holiday is a facial spritzer. Evian do a fabulous one - everytime you feel a little hot just spritz this cooling mist over your face and voila! You are instantly refreshed and cooled. A great must-have for the beach.
