How Can Computer Cables Be A Hazard?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

Well computer cables can be extremely hazardous to health since they transmit high voltage electricity. Usually theses cables have plastic coatings over them so that a person does not get a shock if he touches these cables.

But at times even these plastic coating do not help and can generate shocks when touched. A cable basically is one or more than one wires which are combined mutually, characteristically in an ordinary covering or sheath. These single fibres which are there in a jacket are usually enclosed or insulated.

The electrical wires used for supplying power in a computer are made from copper due to its exceptional conductivity, but often aluminium is even used because it is comparatively cheaper. Initially cables used to be insulated with the help of cloth, rubber and at times even paper.
