Is A White Cat With Odd Eyes A Special Breed?

I received a small, short hair, white cat w/ one blue & one green eye, and no tail. He is beautiful and I adore him. I was just wondering if he is a special breed.

I have never heard of such a breed, but there is an extremely high rate of white cats with blue eyes being genetically deaf. Is yours? Perhaps it's a lesser known breed. Cats don't have the immense size and shape differences that dogs do, so perhaps breeds aren't as carefully sorted.

What you have is a breed call Manx. (pronounced mainks. Like "minks" but with an 'a' in there) They are tailess and have colored eyes. Mine has light blue eyes that are beautiful. To find more info on your cat go to Ask.com. I found tons of info for my CaraMia there. They are very vocal and 'talk' all the time to you. Good luck with your kitty.

PS- With this breed there is the possibility of fused vertebrae in the lower spine, so they can't clean themselves well after using the litter box. Every once in a while I must take a wash cloth with just plain warm water and clean her backside for her.
