Battery Park is in New York, USA. It is a 21-acre park with cannons that were used in the American Revolution. It is also the place where tickets to the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island are sold. The movie "Desperately Seeking Susan" has many scenes that were shot in this park. There are also a few statues and memorials scattered around the park as well as hotdog and T-shirt vendors.
From the park you get great views of Staten Island, New Jersey and the Statue of Liberty. It is also a good place to see life whiz by and one of the best place to skate or roller blade. There are long flat stretches for both the beginners and advanced bladers.
Another reason to visit Battery Park is the trade Center Memorial. The Globe that was between the two World Trade Center buildings is now in Battery Park.
