What is the relation of a pious human being to the gods, or God? Compare and contrast this view of piety to that expressed by Euthyphro when he said that piety is “doing what I’m doing”.

The concept of Piety or the concept of the relationship of a pious human being to God is different in different cultures and religions. As a general rule, a pious human being must bow in humility to his God and follow the rule of Good. That is do what is good for him and those around him. Following Euthyphro view of piety and "doing what I'm doing", can bring many disasters to the society as everyone would think that he/she is right in what he is doing, no matter how dreadful it is for other humans and the society in general.
