How Good Has Shoaib Malik Been As A Captain Of Pakistan Cricket Team?

Shoaib Malik who has captained Pakistan Cricket team in just the three one day matches in the recent concluded Abu Dhabi series, which to the relieve of Pakistan cricket fans was won by Pakistan 2-1.

The sparks of a good captain were seen in Shoaib Malik, who showed signs of responsibility when he batted sensibly in the last match which although Pakistan lost but the fact that he stayed on the crease and batted calmly when it required justified the fact that he can take on pressure and play with the presence of mind.

His bowling changes, fielding changes and of course the batting policy was also some thing to note of. With the absence of Inzimam –ul Haq and Younis Khan, the middle order was weak but that did not deter Shoaib Malik to add in another batsman on the cost of a bowler which has been the failing of other ex Captains.  A captain is required to give confidence to his players and Shoaib Malik was able to do that.

Rather than being a soft spoken, tight lipped person, he would need to open up and show the world that he has a strong personality.
