What Is A Boutique Agency?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

A boutique agency will not provide all the services that an ad agency provides. An ad agency could provide the following services:

    • Account planning
    • Media buying
    • Ideating
    • Executing
    • Testing

A boutique agency will typically provide only a few of the services that a traditional agency will provide. A great boutique agency will have a few people; most of them will be very talented at whatever they do. This helps the boutique agency to specialize in a certain area. Boutique agencies in general will charge a premium over what is being charged by ad agencies. If a boutique agency specializes in ideating, then the client will have to take the idea to a traditional ad agency that is willing to execute the idea.

An individual would want to start a boutique agency so that he can stand out in the clutter of ad agencies. Starting a boutique agency is not difficult provided you have talented people who are ready to work with you but keeping them on the rolls is a big challenge.
