What Are Strategic Alliances?

    Strategic alliances happen when two business come together to share resource and expertise to create a business venture that aims to be more successful than the individuals. It can be in the form of a joint venture or a merger deal.

    A current example would be Microsoft wanting to start a strategic alliance with Yahoo. Microsoft have the budget and scale to help Yahoo move it's web search business forward that it may not be able to do on its own.

      Strategic alliances is a partnership of two or more corporations or business units to achieve strategically significant objectives that are mutually beneficial. Alliances between companies or business units have become a fact of life in modern business
