    We have to remember these were not ORTHODOX christians, they WERE NOT what we call fundemental beleiving Evangelicals

      They were called the crusades and have been cleaned up to make them more palatable to Christian and non Christains in the modern world. Many innocent people were killed not only in battle but by execution afterwards. There were even a number of Christains who had lived in the city unmolested for some time but were butchered by the cusaders. Look up the full history and be shocked. Look also for contrast at what happened when Sulleiman took the city back, many Christains were allowed to stay and practice their faith. As a Christian it is not a period that I care to think about too much, perhaps that is why my education taught me a completely different version that I believed until I cared to look again, a heritage best forgotten but important to remember accurately, like all truly wicked events in history, they teach us much.

        The crusades. But the christians were more the invaders since they weren't even from the same continent. At least the muslims were from the same continent. It's a misleading question.
