St James Palace is located on The Mall in London, which lies to the north of St Jame's Park. It is London's most ancient and historic palaces. The main access of St James's Palace on Pall Mall is from Henry VII's palace. It is still an operational palace and the Royal court is still based here. It is also the residence to Princess Royal and Princess Alexandra, The Honourable Lady Ogilvy. This palace  comprises of York House, the previous home of the Prince of Wales and his sons, the Princes William and Harry, Lancaster House, which is used by HM Government for bureaucratic receptions, and also the close by Clarence House, the residence of the late Queen Mother and now the dwelling of the Prince of Wales.
