The bullet train runs on a special type of track that can not be used by any other normal train. These trains run on electricity and not on fuel which is provided via the overhead lines. The basic distinguishing feature of the trains is that their track is continuously welded which reduces the friction. The trains run due to a combination of various technologies like magnetic levitation that lifts up the train from the track and makes it move faster along with the longer curves that the train makes so it does not have to lose speed while turning.
