Will Oxycodone Show Up Different Than Methadone On A Urinalysis?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

Certain drug screens are designed to detect opiates in a generalized category; therefore, if you show positive results for opiates, it will just say opiates and one will not know what opiate(s) the person subjected to the drug screen is really taking. However, there are drug tests that test for specific opiates such as: Hydrocodone, oxycodone, oxymorphone, hydromorphone, morphine sulfate, buprenorphine, diacetyle-morphine (heroin), methadone, and possibly pure opium. So to answer your question; given a test that detects both oxycodone and methadone, oxy will not show up different, less the test is a generalized opiate screen
