I have white spots on the front of my arms from the elbow down and some patchy white skin discoloration. What's causing this?

I have tiny white spots on my arm to but they don't itch or anything.......my science teacher said its because I scratch a lot or I'm nervous alot (I used to scratch a lot but now i don't anymore nd I'm not nervous but I still have it) so I think u should just ask a doctor ASAP
