The Amalfi Coast known as Costiera Amalfitana in the Italian language basically is an extended coastline on the southern region of the Sorrentine Peninsula of Italy. It further widens from the Positano in the western region to Vietri Sul Mare in the east. There are many towns like Vietri sul Mare, Cetara, Maiori, Minori, Ravello, Scala, Atrani, Conca dei Marirni, Praiano and Posital based on the Amalfi Coast.
This area quiet famous for its rocky terrain, charming beauty and pleasing towns, the Amalfi coast has been to the list of World Cultural heritage site by UNESCO. The Amalfi coast is world famous for its enormous diversity because every town has different attributes and character and many interesting sites to visit to. Some very famous places worth visiting near the Amalfi coast are Duomo which is a cathedral, the church of Santa Maria Assunta in Positano, the Villa Cimbrone and Villa Rufolo situated in Ravello etc.
