What Does RAM Main Memory Do?

Answer Question

2 Answers - Sort by: Date | Rating

RAM or (Random Access Memory) is what the computer uses to run programs rather than to store data as in your hard drive memory. It can be compared to your short term memory. Once you turn the computer off, all RAM memory is lost, that is why you must always save data to the hard drive memory before shutting down a program or the PC. The more RAM the better.
