There is nothing wrong with teaching yourself but have you thought about enrolling on an evening course to give you a bit more support if it's what you enjoy it will be very helpful

There are self-teach books at bookstores to help you. I would suggest a piano teacher. I play piano myself with a $100 per hour teacher. I don't really suggest that you aim for $100, but a little less. I don't think that you should teach yourself for too long, there are more disadvantages than advantages. A professional will teach you more. Plus, buy theory and technique books to give you a boost on piano skills!
