The term 'crackle finish' is applied to a kind of painting that has an aged look and they resemble with the cracked glass. If you want to perform crackle finish yourself what you require is the wall paint, crackle finish, paint brush, roller and masking tape.
The first step that you will have to take is to apply one layer of base coat to the wall and then allow the paint to get dried for at least eight hours. Now with the use of the masking tape you have to declare off limits areas and then working on one section at a time you can apply crackle finish to the wall and let it get dried for one hour.
When it gets dried you can apply the top coat. You have to take one precaution while doing so and have to apply it in one motion and continue till the entire wall is being painted.
After that you can remove the masking tape and can look at your beautiful wall.
