How Can I Find My Country By Zip Codes?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

ZIP Codes as such are in use only in the United States. They were at one time registered as a trade mark. However the world over the term post code is used which is sometimes referred to as a ZIP code.

They are not the same thing exactly as ZIP stands for Zone Improvement Plan. Assuming that you are referring to what is known as a Postal Code the world over it may not be that simple to identify countries based on a postal code. This is because very often countries use the same number of digits in their postal codes; this is especially true in Europe. They were primarily devised for the purpose of sorting code.

Generally at the end of the address the name of the country is also written to avoid confusion.
