Be careful not to give the hamster more mealworms than they can handle for the mealworms will become beetles in a few days. You probably shouldn't be feeding hamsters insects out of the garden. You can go to almost any pet store or reptile store to purchase some. Insects are a very good source of protein for hamsters :) also it's really cute to watch them chase crickets around their habitat.
