What Is Foster Care?

Answer Question

3 Answers - Sort by: Date | Rating

A foster care is a shelter for young adults or children who cannot live with their parents. It is not a type of an orphanage. There could be many reasons why the parents are unable to take care of their kids. The parents might be going through a lot of financial problems or they could be going through rehabilitation or are working many jobs which do not give them any time to take care of their child. It also happens that the biological parents abandon their child and the foster care adopts them. The foster care takes immense care of the children providing them with basic amenities such as food, clothing and shelter. They also provide kids with education and extra curricular activities. Foster cares are continuously funded by many charities.

Foster care is taking care of peoples children until the parents get their lives in order or get their parental right taken away. And you get paid to do it.

Foster care is where you live with someone who is not your relation.  Someone that takes you into their home and tries giving you a good shelter.  Its not orphanage also it is where your parents can not take care of you or you can not live with them because what they have done.  Foster care may be harder on some than others.
