Is Coronary Heart Disease The Worst Type Of Heart Disease?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

Coronary heart disease is one of the biggest killers within the UK today. The sad fact is that it is preventable, yet over 100,000 people die each year because of it. The disease is caused by blocked arteries and many people die of a fatal heart attack or heart failure after a certain amount of time.

The main preventative measure you can take to reduce coronary heart disease, and any heart disease for that matter, is to choose a healthier lifestyle. Often heart disease occurs due to smoking, lack of exercise and an unhealthy diet. Whilst it can also be caused through family history, an unhealthy lifestyle is the most common cause of coronary heart disease. So, start eating healthier, try and get at least 30 minutes exercise a day and also stop smoking if you do smoke at the moment. Coronary heart disease can be prevented and it is the biggest killer within the UK today.
