Massapequa is a hamlet which is located in Nassau County in New York. As per the 2000 census, it has a total population of 22,652.
Massapequa is at the South Shore of the Long Island in the city of Oyster Bay. They are also called as the "The Meadows" which was purchased from the Massapequa Indians.
The bargained agreement between colonists, Tackapausha and Chopeyconnaws is recorded in the Town Hall of Oyster Bay.
The eastern boundary of this land is considered to be the banks of the Narrasketuck River, which is a narrow body of water that ends in a few hundred yards south known as Merrick Road. In the modern scene the river is located in east and is parallel to Clocks Boulevard.
