My bff likes this guy but he likes ME. My bff was mad but she cooled down when she realized we're just friends. THEN HE ASKED ME TO PROM! I don't like like him but he's my friend too and I sorta wanna go (because duh, it's prom) though not as a couple?

If you don't like him except for "friends" why would you even consider damaging your relationship with your friend to go to prom? Go by yourself, or with your best friend.....you might also tell this guy that all three of you can go together as friends, other than that, I'd go by myself.

Not a good idea. Your BFF is never going to understand, if you value your friendship you should turn down that invitation to the prom.
