It's certainly heresy and borderline blasphemy as they pray to her and believe she has the ability to hear them and 'intercede' on their behalf - abilities equal to Christ's own divine abilities. They also teach she was, retroactively, born of a virgin birth equal to Christ. Sacrilege and heresy.
