So, my son tried to kiss a girl (I have nothing wrong with this) and he hit puberty when he was 9, and he's never avoided girls, even when he was little. Is that a chemical imbalance?

Many girls are maturing early too. It's been credited to hormones in our food supply, esp beef, chicken and pork products, among other things.
