I am international Student in the US and a moth ago I got my SSN. I have had a secure credit card with Wells Fargo for more than two years. right now, I have use like 50% of my credit limit, but i pay every month and I have never been late with my payments. When you get a SSN your credit score stars from 0. Does it help that I had that card before I got the SSN? Do I stand a chance on being approved for a unsecured credit card? Any advice will be appreciating it.
i've heard there is this website https://www.fastunsecured.com/ that assists people on getting approval for unsecured credit cards, did anybody heard about it.
I don't believe that is correct.
You had to have some form of individual identifier to get the secured credit card ... And your history with that card would be tracked by credit reporting agencies.
