Beagles are one of the best breeds for children. Others include the Labrador and golden retrievers, boxers, bernese mountain dogs...many more breeds are great with children, especially a rescue dog. Any dog has the potential to hurt a child.... Whichever dog you choose, a properly trained dog is the BEST dog for a child.
