Do you think that it is both apt and reasonable for a New York City Public High School to require special needs students who cannot physically do the regular physical education classes requirement to write 8 5-page essays (1 per term) about Sports--which they actually know nothing about because they cannot really play sports (and most especially team sports)--instead? In order for them to be allowed to graduate? (Especially when they haven't had any prior lessons or school instruction of any kind in essay writing either?)
If they are in high school, they have written essay type papers before. That starts in about the third grade.
Every paper I ever wrote was on a subject that I didn't know much about. That's why it's called a research paper.
Is this happening to you?
