Our temporary rental house has a really waterlogged lawn. In the winter it's so spongey even the dog doesn't like it. WE live in quite abuilt up area, prob surrounded by too much concrete - any tips for 'draining' it?

Given that it is a temp rental, I got nothing.  Least damaging I can think of would be to dig a shallow pit at the lowest point in the yard and then use a sump pump to move the water into the street and thus to a city drain.
