You can't change who you are related to @blue... You can choose to cut them out of your life though if truly nessasary  for your personal well being.  I see you didn't take my advice and just stop worrying  so much and dance to the slakers instead :/ that's fine :(

Legally you can change who you are related to is by marriage, divorce, adoption, or emancipation. Philosphically, you relate to who you relate to on mental or emotional level.
