I accidentally spilled water in my cats right eye and I think it irritated it what do I do? I got him fresh water and as I was taking the bowl to its spot I stumbled spilling it. Now he has greenish clear discharge in his right eye. It doesn't seem to bother him he can open it just not as wide. Should I check with our vet or should I wait to see if it clears up on its own? 

The water probably has nothing to do with what is wrong with his eye.

S(he?) may need an ophthalmic topical ointment.  Take him to the vet.

Sounds like he may have a bit of an infection. Take him to the vet to get checked out, it could get worse without treatment.

When in doubt.... Get it checked out. :0)
