About Me

If there is something in particular about me that you want to know, just ask and I will give you my answer. It may be in either a public (i.e., blurtit, et.al.) or a private forum at my sole discretion. Since I have no way of knowing what questions may be on your mind and having little to none of the mental or spiritual capabilities of those that claim the ability to read the minds of others, I find that what works the best for me is to ask and I shall answer. In general and in the simplest form, my own self-description would be something like this: I am just an ordinary guy that knows a tiny little bit about a lot of things, but not really very much about anything(?) And, so goes my life.....

My Interests

My interests in life and my passions for life have become one and the same once I tell you that they lie in the science and technology behind most any topic. Having spent most all of my life engaged in the study of the deeper levels of science and technology as applied to everyday events from the very mundane to the extreme esoteric, it has been my experience & good fortune to report to you, that given the opportunity to do likewise, most individuals with a normal level of curiosity and a reasonable degree of intellect, would as I have, discover within short order, that the deeper one goes into this somewhat hidden realm that it won't take very long before one recognizes the world around you is the central theme to the very best sci-fi film ever conceived. This real-world-reality can be demonstrated by a close, in-depth look at the questions posed by the natural philosopher & the natural scientist. The philosopher looks up into the nightime sky and wonders how big is the universe that surrounds him? Not surprisingly, he concludes that it can only be as large as that which he can see! The scientist, on the other hand, suspects that there is more to this universe than meets the eye. So, to find the answer, he builds tools of all kinds and shapes. And with his new tools he begins to explore, he explores the same night sky that he explored before building his tools. So what is the difference, what does he see now? Now he sees a much larger universe, one closer to the true size. His tools have changed his Point of View (POV). Now he asks himself if he built stronger, more powerful tools, would his universe grow bigger, and with even stronger tools, would it grow even bigger? The inherent nature of the scientist's passion causes him to continually build stronger tools as his POV grows likewise. And what of the philosopher? His passion was limited in scope and so it restrained his imagination as well as his POV. He stopped asking questions when the benefits garnered by the scientist from his tools were not the philosopher's to enjoy. Without the tools there was no change in POV to raise further questions in the mind of the philosopher. As the scientist learned by watching the philosopher take many a wrong turn, he had to create a tool to change the philosopher's POV; and thus, the fruit of the BLURTIT BUSH was born. When done eating the fruit, the seed was cracked open to reveal the question to change one's POV. ARE YOU A PHILOSOPHER OR ARE YOU A SCIENTIST?

I could not help noticing your avatar, and thought you may do a little astronmy.  I have done a little amatuer astronomy in the past.  Time is limited and my eyes are not so good now, but I enjoy talking about it.

A Chemical Change From One State Of Matter To Another Is Called A "Phase Transistion", Usually Solid>liquid>gas. Name A Common Substance That Goes From Solid>gas Without Becoming A Liquid In Between, And Can You Name This Phenomenon?

The name for this occurrence is called sublimation, and probably one of the best known examples of this process is the transistion of solid carbon dioxide dry ice into carbon dioxide vapor with no liquid...
